In 2010 the same group of young donors proposed to our Association to make another video and that time we thought of a more articulated project, developing a real story to be told no longer in the form of a telegraphic spot, but of a real short film. .

The aspect highlighted in the subject is how precious blood is which, unlike many other things, cannot be bought or manufactured: to have it available there is no alternative to donation.

The initial sequences were made starting from a photo of the hospital building in the Spoleto hospital . With a digital reconstruction, you go down to the lowest floor of the “Spoletosfera” car park, where the undergrounds of unspecified “laboratories” have ideally been recreated. The realization of the scene in the parking lot up to the moment when the car came out on the public road, took a whole morning of work.

The scene of the assault was made on a hot June afternoon (heroic actors, in black dress, long sleeves and balaclavas), the movements of the attackers were choreographed by an instructor specialized in the training of police officers. At the wheel of the gray BMW another instructor who carried out the “stunts” in absolute safety conditions.

The external shots of the arrival of the bike with relative taking over of the suitcase, were filmed in a couple of hours, at the wonderful Eremo delle Grazie , a period residence on the slopes of Monteluco , in Spoleto. In the same place, in about four hours of a different afternoon, the interiors of the corridor and the bedroom were shot where the sick child, the parents and the brother, the doctor and the nurse can be seen.

The videos are also visible on the Avis di Spoleto website and “In Cold Blood” took part in the Nickelodeon competition, reserved for short films with a social theme . A school representative from a local high school wanted to show him the course of a school assembly. The intention to convey an important message to the youngest has therefore been achieved.
